K&F Show Summary:

January 2024 marks the 45th anniversary of the Dukes of Hazzard. “One Armed Bandits” is the first episode that started it all, and one of the 5 filmed on location in Georgia before it would be relocated to California for the remainder of the series. For purists, the first 5 episodes (and this in particular) is as good, gritty, and as pure as it gets. For me… it’s just that weird one they would show in re-runs that was so different than all of the “real” ones from the later seasons I was used to. (I like campy Hollywood-ized versions of stuff.)

Anyway, this is the episode where Bo and Luke play Robin Hood – and commit a criminal act against a criminal (Boss Hogg) – to give to the poor. This proves the statement that two wrongs can make a right, apparently. Bo and Luke meet with Cooter in the Starsky and Hutch Torino along with Blake Lively’s dad, burglarize a truck filled with slot machines, place them around town, give the proceeds to the poor, and give the credit to Rosco, helping him get re-elected. Most of the scenes from the opening credit for the run of the show come from this episode and we get to settle once and for all which General Lee of the 3 used in this episode….really came first.

K&F Rating: 10 First Flight CornDogs

K&F Show #246: Ralphie Grew Up to Be a MOPAR Man! Movie Review: “A Christmas Story Christmas”

Movie Notes: Remember when I told you in the original Christmas Story Review that the whole movie was a love letter to his dad? I was right! Ralhie is an adult now with a wife and kids of his own, and he has to deal with the passing of his Old Man at Christmas while simultaneously dealing with his own career midlife crisis. There are bar flies that will amuse you, a mom that hides from the scourge of the earth known as carolers. Thanks to his wife and his mom, Ralhie gets the win, teaches his kids how to stand up to bullies, and has a few beers with his life long friends. And fixes a Plymouth radiator with a half dozen eggs. This masterpiece is going to rival – for some – the best movie of 2022. Watch out Top Gun Maverick, and screw the crappy review that the New York Times gave. This is a classic for the rest of time! PERFECT 10 LITTLE DEBBIE CHRISTMAS TREE RATING.

K&F Show #225: Memorial Day Movie Review – The 2 Hour Tommy Boy Spectacular

Visit www.holley.com/win/bigblockchevysweepstakes to enter and make sure to tell them we sent you!

Movie Review ReRun: Friends, prepare to enjoy a re-review if what is quite possibly the greatest road-trip movie ever made: Tommy Boy! Chris Farley and David Spade play (basically) themselves in this odd-couple MOPAR trip that saves the employees of Callahan Auto – and the town of Sandusky, OH itself – from the inevitable corporate takeover bearing down upon it. Chances are you have this movie memorized inside and out already. If you don’t, take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed because you apparently have spare time. Plus, we have did the entire Second Hour of the show for the Patreon audience and have included it here….so if one show isn’t enough, two is going be as smart as taking the Butcher’s word for on a T-Bone steak. PERFECT 10 CORNDOG RATING.

Note: The original first hour of our Tommy Boy review was original published in October of 2019 in Episode 126. For the first time ever we are re-releasing this review, complete with the additional second hour that was for our Patreon only audience! This baby is 2 hours of jam packed movie quotes, GTX trivia, and insider MOPAR knowledge that brother just gotta hug about. Enjoy!

K&F Show #217: Which Batmobile is the Battest; Dukes of Hazzard S7E05 Review “No More Mr. Nice Guy”

Presented with Holley! Visit Holley.com and make SURE you tell them we sent you!

Dukes Review: I like classic Dukes scripts and inside references…..and this episode has both. A classic amnesia plot device along with framing the Dukes for (insert reason here) makes this a classic tale of southern fried 1984 goodness. But in Season 7, with all of the super terrible episodes we have to deal with, this one may as well be eligible for an Emmy.

Here’s the summary: A smack talking robot that looks like a dude in a cardboard robot costume your 4 year old would make comes to Hazzard, has a southern slang name, and becomes the new Sheriff of Hazzard.

You know that story you’ve heard that During World War I, on Christmas Eve, British and German troops stopped the fighting amongst to horror of war to celebrate Christmas together, that’s what this episode is like in Season 7. Amidst the horror, we have this nice episode. The episode you knew they had in them. Sure, there are some miniatures stunts, but just a few, and there are a couple of kind good real ones, and all the great stunts are recycled from previous seasons. Yes – I know that in Season 5 they offset the suck of Coy and Vance with AMAZING stunts, but this episode…..gives me hope.

The light at the end of the tunnel might not be an oncoming train. 7 Corndogs

TMCP #460: Damon Sampson – Why MAST Motorsports is the LS and LT Powerhouse!

FEATURE INTERVIEWS: Damon Sampson: Why MAST Motorsports is the LS and LT Powerhouse! In the past 15 years many engine companies have come and gone, but Horace Mast’s “MAST Motorsports” became the go-to place for many top builders and racers to source their extra hot LS engines (and today, LT engines). While nothing speaks higher […]

K&F Show #165: How Paint Scanning a General Lee REALLY Works; Dukes of Hazzard S5E15 Review “Ding, Dong, The Boss is Dead”

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Congrats to Arrow West @eldest_arrow on Instagram for his recent LS swap into a ’83 Cutlass! His father Philip West @flannel_philip posted the details on Instagram, and we’re honored that they selected a Holley Terminator X system after hearing it described in our show. Way to go boys!

Dukes Review – S5E15: This episode is a clinic in what goes around, comes around. The entire show is a cartoonish version of basically the same episode from Season 2, but this time with flying coffins.  Boss still has to leap moving vehicles to convince people he’s dead. Not one, but two actors from previous episodes come back to play different characters, and the outfit the bad guy (girl) is wearing….is both sensational as well as now back in fashion (high waisted shorts with a belt.) Surprised her outfit actually stayed on, actually. Anyway, this is a repeat of a season 2 episode plot, a season 2 bad guy car, with a repeat of a season 3 set of characters, with a season 4 bad guy car. And the GL jumps a barn. It may be the best Coy and Vance episode ever.
