K&F Show #34: R.I.P. Henry Flatt – S2 Episode 22 of The Dukes of Hazzard!

There’s an old saying that says, “A friend will help you move, and a real friend will help you move a dead body.” In the case of this episode, that proves true. The Dukes aid an old (yet now reformed) swindler friend named Henry Flatt to “stay dead.” He had previously faked his own death to hide from Boss Hogg as he’d swindled him out of a ton of money that was later used to start a Youth Shelter. Remember Otis the Drunk from the Andy Griffith Show? That Henry Flatt. The highlight of this episode is seeing the General drive with a coffin in it’s trunk (containing a dead body, no less). Oh, and Rosco is back from the “Police Academy” now too. Hijinks ensue.

K&F Show #22: People’s Choice – S2 Episode 11 of The Dukes of Hazzard!

RED ALERT: We need your help to get the attention of Coca Cola…our dream sponsor!

Dukes Review: A long lost formerly gawky but now super-hot friend of the Dukes returns to Hazzard to run against Boss Hogg as the “Supervisory Administrator” of Hazzard. Why? Because her father was cheated out of the job in the past by Boss Hogg. Really though, who cares because we just need an excuse to get the General Lee into the air. Anyway, in this landmark episode Boss Hogg realizes that the job of Supervisory Administrator includes being the Dukes probation officer, something he didn’t even realize he was (nor did they). The Dukes commit an FCC violation helping the gawky-but-now-hotty chick run her campaign. She wins and will never be mentioned again throughout the remainder of the TV series. Luckily for her she’ll go on in life to star on the Love Boat. Hijinks ensue.

K&F Show #20: Witness for the Persecution – S2 Episode 9 of The Dukes of Hazzard!

The Dukes do a favor for the Federal Government by housing and protecting Boss Hogg….from the Mob? Yes indeed. Boss has information to testify against somebody for some reason, that person is really really bad, and the Dukes spend the entire episode pampering him and protecting him from two very serious hitmen that attempt to kill everyone and their mother with sniper rifles. Somehow Boss also ends up in bed with Daisy, after a long scene of her spent undressing (seriously – it’s at the 21:20 mark of the show). Cooter drinks moonshine and eats donuts for breakfast. The General makes a famous jump. Hijinks ensue.

K&F Show #03: Our Review of Luke’s Love Story – S1 Episode 7 of The Dukes of Hazzard!

Bo and Luke enter the General Lee into an annual overland race where cheating, hitting, and stabbing is apparently fair game in order to win the race. Luke wins the rights to drive. A chick named Amy enters the race driving a Mustang named Lucifer. She also has a female mechanic. Fantastic 1970’s references about women’s abilities follow. Luke falls in love – in seconds – with her, asking her to commit to him but allowing him the “freedom” of fooling around with other women (remember – this is still Season 1 – and the wholesome values of the show haven’t kicked in yet.) Amy’s ex-boyfriend attempts to kill her during the race. Luke intervenes and stops him, but loses the race in the process. Boss Hogg’s dead mothers ashes are in the trophy cup for some reason. Hijinks ensue.
