The Unicorn? This Charger was seen on the Mel Gibson movie Forever Young in the early 1990’s. It’s a General for sure. But is this the one that disappeared after the movie ended?

DEEP DIVE:

Real Screen Used General or Not?

K&F Show Summary:

The short lived TV show “Street Hawk” used at least two Generals and aired after the Dukes was cancelled. It’s possible they went on to be in the Ken Wahl movie “The Gladiator” as well….but we have no way to know for sure. The likely did NOT go back to the Dukes.

Since the dawn of time man has wondered what really happened to all the General Lee’s from the Dukes of Hazzard TV series? We’ve been told through folklore that 19 cars remained and 17 were sold into private hands in 1991, with Warner Brothers keeping the remaining two. The problem is….there’s enough proof out there to indicate that when the series ended in 1985 that there may have been MORE than 19 General still alive….and that they may have found their way to other productions.

In addition, of the 2 cars that Warner Brothers kept one one remains alive and well today….while the other is a total mystery and was never seen again. I know. Twilight Zone stuff. This episode is the deep dive into finding every General that starred on other shows and movies wearing a different uniform. Old shows such as TJ Hooker, Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs King, and even modern day shows like “The Middle” were discussed.

Disclaimer #1: This is everything we could find and compile.  There may be more evidence out there.

Disclaimer #2: This is really, really, really, really, really nerdy and (somewhat) dumb. Seriously, there are a million more important things in the world right now to worry about.  We get it.  This is just a little break from reality. Enjoy.

Straight outta Compton? Possible. But definitely Straight outta Hazzard. This GL was used DURING the Dukes run on Scarecrow and Mrs King. The pushbar is still there! It probably went back to the GL fleet just after this.
