Up for sale is my 1968 Chevy El Camino, SS 396 clone. This is not a true SS car. I do believe it is a factory ordered 396 4-speed car. It is a California built car and has always been in southern California since new. ZERO RUST. The car was restored in 2008 and has been well cared for through the years. The body is straight with no dents and no signs of rust anywhere. the paint looks very good. (there is 3 or 4 tiny nicks in the paint). has SS hood. it was painted back to the original color of Sequoia green. the vinyl top is excellent condition. the bed has a semi hard cover and the inside of bed is in good condition with a professional linex coating. the interior was redone. headliner, seats,carpet,door panels,dash pad, visors etc.it has a Pioneer am fm CD player with speakers in rear. the motor is a 1974 454 .030 over Edelbrock performer cam and intake with an Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor. stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. nice 2 1/2 inch exhaust. Electric fan. the transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed with Hurst shifter, rear end is a 12 bolt posi with 3.55 gears. has front and rear sway bars. power steering,power front dual piston disc brakes. rear drum. the heater is not hooked up and will need a new heater core but the blower motor does work. on a scale of 1- 10 ten being best I would rate the El Camino at an easy 8- 81/2. not perfectly flawless car but a very nice weekend cruiser that always draws a crowd at any show. it has at most 15k miles on it since it was restored. it runs very strong all through the gears with excellent torque. transmission shifts smooth and tight. clutch is excellent. it steers straight and stops on a dime. this is a dependable affordable nice driving great looking 60s muscle car and comes with a clear California title
