Today’s Car: The Perfect Santa Catcher: Fully Restored 1988 Mustang 5.0 Police Interceptor!

Up for auction is my beautifully restored 1988 Ford Mustang SSP notchback. This car was an Oregon State Police car and has the very rare department installed roll bar. When I bought this car is was in great shape and ran and drove perfectly, but cosmetically is wasn’t the greatest. I had the entire car stripped to a roller and started the restoration. The car was 100% factory when I bought it and restored it exactly how the department had it minus the antennas (that were missing) theres still holes in the lower dash and where the spotlight was, but I wanted to keep those for authenticity reasons. Everything for the restoration is all genuine 5.0 resto brand parts. The car received a new interior which includes, new carpet, sun visors, door panels, interior upholstery for the all seats, floor mats, door window channeling, all new door weatherstrip and trunk, door hinge pins, door rollers, scruff panels, kick panels, center console, and the ash tray door was rebuilt. The exterior was also all redone and resprayed by a local body shop, they used high quality base coat, clear coat and its buffed to a gorgeous shine, and yes car was 100% rust free to start. I also had them put in new headlights, windshield, all new badges, and paint all of the trim. After the car was painted I took it to a local exhaust shop where they installed a complete, from the headers back flowmaster exhaust system with X pipe and brand new stainless exhaust pipes out the back just like factory, they also put a new O2 sensor in. The runs and drives perfectly and all maintenance mechanically is up to date, just changed the oil and put brand new tires on.
