Today’s Car: Weekly eBay Pick: PHS Documented 1966 GTO With All Original Sheet Metal!
PHS Documented 1966 GTO. Very solid AZ car that has no evidence of any rust repair. Very solid original trunk and floors. All original sheetmetal. This car underwent a complete frame off restoration that was completed in 2007. It has had 7,000 miles since and is a very nice well sorted car. Runs and drives excellent. Factory AC blows ice cold, the compressor has been upgraded to a direct bolt in aluminum type that is much more efficient. Upgraded 428 engine has a high performance cam, Edelbrock intake, carb, and hi flow waterpump giving it more power than stock, yet retaining driveability. An electric fan was added for extra cooling for the AZ heat. Backed by a TH400 automatic 3 speed transmission with a shift kit. Flowmaster exhaust with X pipe makes it sound great. Posi traction rear end with correct strengthened trailing arms. The suspension was completely rebuilt and has heavy duty sway bars front and back. Power dual master cylinder disc brakes. Power steering and rare tilt column. Correct black interior with bucket seats as ordered originally. Beatiiful Dash and gauges. Originally the car was ordered with Platinum Silver paint, this color is a bit darker but looks great. Under close inspection, there are minor flaws and scratches from use, but hardly noticable. All chrome and stainless pieces were professionally refinished.. All of the glass is very nice with no major scratches. Windshield was new, and the remainder is original EZ Eye tinted, the original glass to the car. Rolls on American Torque Thrust D’s wrapped in BFG radials…there is even a 5th in the trunk. This car is very reliable and easy to drive. It performs as good as it looks! Ready to get in and enjoy!
