Up for sale we have a 1971 Ford Torino Cobra Jet. This is a true piece of American Muscle. In ’71 they only built 3,054 Cobra Jets. The one we have for you is 1 of only 313 Ordered with 429-4V CJ Ram Air with the Four-Speed Close Ration Manual Transmission. Also, it’s 1 of only 342 that were built in the Grabber Blue. We also have the Marti Report. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Ford, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
We will start off with the exterior of the Torino. The body was stripped won and what little body work was need was done. The body is laser straight with great fit of the door hood and trunk and everything is covered in the correct Grabber Blue Paint that is accented by the correct side stripes. This ride has the Shaker Hood that came on the Cobras along with new bumpers and trim. All the glass looks like new as well as all the seals. It has the factory sport mirrors as well as the factory rear window louvers. The final exterior touch is the set of 15” Chrome Magnum Wheels with Firestone Wide Oval tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Cobra. On the inside it’s all done in the Correct Black that it was ordered with. This car like many of the Muscle car came with the factory bench seats. It has the Hurst Shifter and everything looks like new. When you look at the dash it has the stock Am Radio and the factory in dash tach that does work.
Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it’s powered by a 429 V8 that rated at 370 HP and is mated to a 4 Speed Trans and 9” Rear End with a nodular case and 325 Traction-Lok. This Cobra jet has factory Power Steering and Standard Drum Brakes. The engine has the factory Aluminum Valve Covers and Factory Breather. When you put this car in the air it’s easy to see that was a full ground up resto. It has painted floors with everything detailed.
