Today’s Car: 1959 Edsel Wagon Villager
This is not your grandmas 1959 Edsel villager 6 passenger station wagon!!!! This car packs some serious attitude and get a ton of attention everywhere it goes. The car has had some good modifications done to it to add to the safety, drive ability and over all looks of the car.
The car has the original 361 CI FE 400 super express engine backed with a Ford-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission ( just rebuilt) that runs and drives great!!! The rear end is a 9 inch ford, rear breaks are in good working condition, as well as i have a new set of brake shoes new in box that go with the car for when they need replaced. The front brakes are new with less than 2000 miles on them.
This car is not a restored trailer queen, but it is a great hot rod to cruise around in, and take on short or long trips. It will get tons of looks and lots of questions since its not everyday you see an Edsel station wagon! The car has factory power steering, power brakes (booster updated with GM mini booster conversion), and air conditioning. Front and rear seat were re done last year, bench seat in the front and fold up bench in the rear. You can even fold the seat down to haul things or for a good time at the drive-in movies……..
