This is a 1971 Dodge Challenger T/A. Concept car. Full rotisserie restoration on this 1971 Challenger using all of the styling and performance parts of the 1970 Challenger T/A with one little twist. A 440 “Six Pack” 390 HP engine was used in lieu of the 340 Six Pack 290 HP engine. The engine has been balanced and blueprinted with larger 2.14 intake valves, 1.88 exhaust valves with port matching done to the heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. The car has an original T/A full fiberglass hood with the fresh air hood scoop, three Holley two barrel carburetors, electronic ignition, dual exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheels, 727 “Torqueflight” automatic transmission, 8.75 inch HD rear end with 3:55 posi-traction, power steering, power disc brakes, 15″ color keyed wheels with trim rings, polished center caps and Goodyear performance radial tires. The car is “Green Go” color with black fiberglass hood, hood pins, T/A striping and lettering, color keyed bumpers, front chin spoilers and rear “T/A” spoiler. Interior is stock black vinyl including 6 way adjustable bucket seat, center console, “Rally” dash with tachometer, AM-FM stereo with rear speakers, rear window defogger, three speed wipers and chrome pedal package. The car has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration being completely dismantled, the body media blasted to bare metal, all rusted areas repaired or replaced, primed, painted and reassembled. All components were rebuilt or replaced during the reassembly including all new wiring, carpets, seat covers, dash pad and instrument cluster. Perfect condition inside and out. Great driving and show car. Performs as well as it looks.
