Witty Banter on Parade:

Hot Dog Synonym’s and Weird Guys Buying Trailers

For those of you that love the “witty banter” portion of this episode, be prepared to learn about Mark Hamill’s ill fated 1978 Corvette movie, Finnegan’s terrible experience selling a trailer to a dude from Iowa, and regale in our all new segment titled: Real Hot Dog Synonym or Not.

Just as a reminder, we’re not curing cancer with this show.

Cool clothes at high speed!

Today’s show is brought to you by the geniuses at Bombfell, once again! Bombfell is an online company that has an easier way for men to get better clothes. They give you your own stylist to help you pick the things you are (if we’re being honest) never going to know to pick for yourself. The clothes are super high quality brands, the shipping is free, there are no fees, and there’s not even a subscription. They only make money if you keep your clothes.

Long story short – if you want to look like a total G and have someone else do all of the work, this is the way to go. You go on their website and input your basic sizes, what you like, and what you don’t. That’s it. if that’s to work there is even a way to have your wife or girlfriend do it on your behalf.

We both tried it, and as hard as it is to think we could ever look better…we did! Check it out and let us know what you think. Visit BOMBFELL.COM/KAFS to get started browsing with our $25 discount!

There’s a clever innuendo of a caption that should probably go with this photo. We’re going to pass on doing it though. Image: Warner Bros.

Dukes of Hazzard S3E6: Uncle Boss

K&F Show Summary:

Remember Huey Hogg, Boss Hogg’s nephew that filled in for Rosco in Season 2 while he was “at the police academy” (i.e. when James Best was in a contract dispute)? Good memory. He’s back now, only he’s dressed exactly like Boss Hogg and he drives a white VW Bug convertible with steer horns on it. I know. It was the 80’s. They don’t do great hamball stuff like that anymore. Anyway, Boss brings in Huey to frame the Dukes once and for all, because Rosco has always failed at doing so. Huey tries, Huey fails, the cycle repeats, and Daisy has to get a prison photo taken. And the VW ends up hanging from a giant magnet with Boss Hogg in it. Also – for no explained reason – this episode was shot in Season 2 but only aired now (Enos is back, as is Daisy’s Plymouth Road Runner). Hijinks ensue.

Legit Show Info:

Season 3 – Episode 6 “Uncle Boss”
Airdate: 11/28/80
Written by William Raynor & Myles Wilder
Directed by Hollingsworth Morse

According to Corndog, the original color of Daisy’s RoadRunner…or at least this particular one – was Y8 gold as seen in the photo here.

Corndog’s Super Insider Analysis:

No, you’re not watching the wrong episode. I had to do a double take myself. The first thing I noticed about this episode is that it was filmed WAY earlier than when it aired. Actually, this episode was filmed very early in Season 2. You’ll noticed that Daisy’s 1971 Plymouth is back on the scene… Enos is in the episode (and not at LAPD)…. and Cooter has his scruffy beard, once again. At the beginning of the epside, Waylon introduces Hughie Hogg… even though we first saw him in the Season 2 episode “Arrest Jesse Duke”. I never really knew why this episode was pushed back well into the third season… I guess they just wanted to space out the Hughie Hogg episodes.

At 6:48 we see Rosco leaning up against a 1969 Dodge Coronet while he is waiting for Hughie Hogg to show up. This car was also seen in the Season 2 episode “Find Loretta Lynn”.

Throughout the majority of this episode, a 1968 Charger was used for many of the close up scenes. Many times, you will see the round side marker lights that were painted orange. I recall seeing this specific car in many of the Season 2 episodes. About the 10:14 mark, when the Dukes are making the General at the Boars Nest… and when it runs into the back of the Caddy, you can clearly see the orange painted side marker lights.

21:54 – When Bo, Luke, Daisy, and Cooter are walking out of the Boars Nest, Bo asks Cooter where he got the delivery truck from… and Cooter says E.W. Brown in Conyers. I wonder if that may have been someone that Ben actually knew when he lived in Georgia. Also, when they popped the trunk on the Plymouth, we can see that the original color of this particular car was Gold, looks to be Y8.

35:30 – When Luke and Cooter in the GL pull up next to Bo and Daisy in the RR, you can see one of the red label tags on the lower corner of the General’s windshield. This is the ’68 that we see many times throughout the episode. There have been a few times where you can really see how badly aligned the “01” is on the driver side door. Also, you will notice that this car original had a 3-speaker dash… and the speaker grilles were removed, and replaced with a pice of flat tin.

Right after this, Rosco and Enos block in the two cars. You will see that the push bar is still laid back into the grille from when the car rolled into the back of the Cadillac.

Dream Board Update: Goals to Accomplish Before Episode 200

rob_ferrari_dietcokesponsorship

Coca Cola Corporation take note. This is how awesome sponsoring our show would be. Even when driving Ferrari F-430 race prepped track cars Kibbe can only think about how refreshing a Diet Coke would be.

1. Get Diet Coke to Sponsor us….or just Kibbe.

2. Be characters in the Disney/Pixar movie, Cars 3. Finnegan is the General. Kibbe…is wishing he was the General.

3. Syndicate the show onto TV and radio, having awesome guests in studio, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on regularly to be our best friend.

4. Get John Schneider himself on the show with us. Pray to God he actually likes us and isn’t freaked out.

5. Blow up the podcast so that it becomes a regular weekly show, interviewing celebrities, and actually providing a living for us capable of allowing us to race cars anytime we want plus let our wives get the shoes they like.

6. Get our own studio.

7. We each get a General Lee (real car – not a toy).

8. Get a Voiceover Guy to announce the segments.

9. Jump a car together. Kibbe wants to go 30-feet vertical.

10. Make a Dream GL that is based off of a 1973 NASCAR Charger (like the 1/16th scale AMT model)

11. Kibbe needs a new wallet to replace his “George Costanza”.

12. Mike to get a new truck for legit towing. DONE!
