KF Show 43 – Witty Banter!

In honor of the start of football season the Witty Banter section of this show features our brand new segment, “Real John Madden quote or Not.” Here’s a sample – see if you can beat Finnegan:

“Hey, the offensive linemen are the biggest guys on the field, they’re bigger than everybody else, and that’s what makes them the biggest guys on the field.”

Look closely. This is actor Dennis Haskins, aka. “Mr Belding” from Saved By the Bell.

Dukes of Hazzard S3E5: The Late J.D. Hogg

K&F Show Summary:

Due to a hilarious medical error, Boss Hogg thinks he’s dying. He immediately realizes he’s done a ton of greedy evil things in his life, and tries to buy his way into heaven by doing “good deeds” while he can in order to avoid going to Hell. He obviously can’t do that, but it makes for good TV fun. He gives the Dukes their farm, the orphans their orphanage, and the Little League their own…league? Doesn’t matter. The shenanigans really get rolling when he finds out it was all a mistake. And there are bad guys in this one too that should be central to the story, but they really aren’t. The highlight is the cameo by Mr. Belding from “Saved By the Bell”. Solid Hijinks ensue.

Didn’t believe me? This is him.

Corndog’s Super Insider Analysis:

This will probably go down as my shortest review. While I liked this episode, there really wasn’t much “behind the scenes” type information to pull from it. There were a lot of driving scenes, which was nice to watch, but nothing out of the ordinary. Dennis Haskins played the role of Charlie Watkins, who was the customer at the barber shop. He is mostly known for the playing the role of Mr. Belding on “Saved By The Bell”. If you recall, he was also in the first episode of the Dukes as the guy in the Boars Nest who had a problem with Daisy spreading his business around. He will continue to play other small roles throughout the rest of the series.

When Boss Hogg rips the wiring out of the CB radio, I believe this is the only time we see which style radio was used in the Caddie. It was a Pace 123A.

When Daisy comes into the police station, to tell Rosco that she got a call from the doctor, Rosco stares at her chest multiple times.

As sad as it is… this pretty much sums up my overall review of the episode.

Dream Board Update: Goals to Accomplish Before Episode 200

rob_ferrari_dietcokesponsorship
Coca Cola Corporation take note. This is how awesome sponsoring our show would be. Even when driving Ferrari F-430 race prepped track cars Kibbe can only think about how refreshing a Diet Coke would be.

1. Get Diet Coke to Sponsor us….or just Kibbe.

2. Be characters in the Disney/Pixar movie, Cars 3. Finnegan is the General. Kibbe…is wishing he was the General.

3. Syndicate the show onto TV and radio, having awesome guests in studio, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on regularly to be our best friend.

4. Get John Schneider himself on the show with us. Pray to God he actually likes us and isn’t freaked out.

5. Blow up the podcast so that it becomes a regular weekly show, interviewing celebrities, and actually providing a living for us capable of allowing us to race cars anytime we want plus let our wives get the shoes they like.

6. Get our own studio.

7. We each get a General Lee (real car – not a toy).

8. Get a Voiceover Guy to announce the segments.

9. Jump a car together. Kibbe wants to go 30-feet vertical.

10. Make a Dream GL that is based off of a 1973 NASCAR Charger (like the 1/16th scale AMT model)

11. Kibbe needs a new wallet to replace his “George Costanza”.

12. Mike to get a new truck for legit towing. DONE!
