Cool clothes at high speed!

Guess what? We have a brand new advertiser in this show! Glory be! Better yet, they’re LITERALLY going to help us all look good!

Today’s show is brought to you by the geniuses at Bombfell. Bombfell is an online company that has an easier way for men to get better clothes. They give you your own stylist to help you pick the things you are (if we’re being honest) never going to know to pick for yourself. The clothes are super high quality brands, the shipping is free, there are no fees, and there’s not even a subscription. They only make money if you keep your clothes.

Long story short – if you want to look like a total G and have someone else do all of the work, this is the way to go. You go on their website and input your basic sizes, what you like, and what you don’t. That’s it. if that’s to work there is even a way to have your wife or girlfriend do it on your behalf.

We both tried it, and as hard as it is to think we could ever look better…we did! Check it out and let us know what you think. Visit BOMBFELL.COM/KAFS to get started browsing with our $25 discount!

Jack Gill takes the General – through – a – barn! Image: Warner Bros

Dukes of Hazzard S3E4: In This Corner, Luke Duke

K&F Show Summary:

This show has a perfect plot. It starts out with an awesome General Lee jump, and ends with the most epic one ever…with the General going through the ROOF of a second story barn, trapping the bad guys, hurting nary a soul, and bringing the Dukes Boys back to safety. Everything that happens in between is mostly filler. So, here’s the filler: Luke gets blackmailed into boxing a legit fighter in order to pay off a debt to Boss that (if unpaid) will cost the Dukes the farm. Again. Luke doesn’t want to do it, because his was so awesome at boxing in the Marines that he nearly killed someone with his awesomeness. Uncle Jesse tells him to get himself together and either to quit or fight. Luke wins, his alter ego somehow ends up dates the ring girl of the fight, humanity is saved, and the General jumps. Hijinks ensue.

Legit Show Info:

Season 3 – Episode 4 “And In This Corner, Luke Duke”
Airdate: 11/14/80
Written by Jim Rogers
Directed by Paul Baxley

Corndog’s Super Insider Analysis:

This episode starts off with a great jump over the bails of hay, where the front and rear of the car are crumpled upon landing. After that, there really isn’t much General Lee action. On the scene where Bo and Luke pull right up to the mirror in front of the Boars Nest… just for a split second, you can see the crew member holding the mic in the reflection of the mirror.

Tom Wopat – behind the scenes on the Dukes.

During the boxing match, many of the crew members filled in as extras in the crowd. Even Al Wyatt Jr. can be seen as a vendor standing behind the Dukes during most of the match. Another interested “tid-bit”… the ring girl for the boxing match was dating Tom Wopat during the recording of this episode. Attached is a couple pictures from the boxing match scene.

One of the best General Lee jumps took place at the very end of this episode. Jack Gill was the pilot of this particular General Lee as it flew through the barn. I’ve heard him talk about this jump a couple times in the past. Not only had this type of jump ever been attempted before on the Dukes… this was also the first time the stunt crew tried out a new harness that they developed. The crew designed a bungee harness that would suspend the driver from the roll cage bars that were overhead. The factory lap belt or racing-style harness would pull the driver down towards the seat… actually leaving the driver suspended above the seat, making it less impact on the driver. Many times they would still put an inflated inner tube under their butt for extra cushion.

One this particular jump, the crew completely gutted out the second story of the barn. They removed all studs and even cut many of the posts so that that when the car passed through the second level of the barn, it would give way and fall in on itself. According to Jack, as he approached the ramp, he was going much faster than intended and it caused him to miss the second level of the barn, and bust through the roof instead. As he flew through the barn, it kicked the passenger side of the car up and it hit the ground hard on the left rear corner. The car rolled over and ended up on it’s wheels. The new safety harness worked perfect and he walked away just fine. Attached are a few pictures of the jump, and one with Jack standing next to the car after it was all over. From here on, just about every big jump will use the bungee setup, and stunt crews still use it today.

Dream Board Update: Goals to Accomplish Before Episode 200

rob_ferrari_dietcokesponsorship
Coca Cola Corporation take note. This is how awesome sponsoring our show would be. Even when driving Ferrari F-430 race prepped track cars Kibbe can only think about how refreshing a Diet Coke would be.

1. Get Diet Coke to Sponsor us….or just Kibbe.

2. Be characters in the Disney/Pixar movie, Cars 3. Finnegan is the General. Kibbe…is wishing he was the General.

3. Syndicate the show onto TV and radio, having awesome guests in studio, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. on regularly to be our best friend.

4. Get John Schneider himself on the show with us. Pray to God he actually likes us and isn’t freaked out.

5. Blow up the podcast so that it becomes a regular weekly show, interviewing celebrities, and actually providing a living for us capable of allowing us to race cars anytime we want plus let our wives get the shoes they like.

6. Get our own studio.

7. We each get a General Lee (real car – not a toy).

8. Get a Voiceover Guy to announce the segments.

9. Jump a car together. Kibbe wants to go 30-feet vertical.

10. Make a Dream GL that is based off of a 1973 NASCAR Charger (like the 1/16th scale AMT model)

11. Kibbe needs a new wallet to replace his “George Costanza”.

12. Mike to get a new truck for legit towing. DONE!
