Description

There aren't many better ways to have fun in a car than with a first-generation Camaro. This 1967 SS hardtop definitely has the right look and with a built 383 stroker motor under the hood it has the horsepower to back up its street-fighter looks. So it's not a real SS who cares? Cars like this Camaro aren't about documentation and numbers they're about making noise and going fast. According to the cowl tag this one is finished in correct code F Marina Blue and without a vinyl top which most folks seem to prefer. Add a chin spoiler a ducktail spoiler and a white SS stripe around the nose and you get one of the most iconic muscle cars of all time. Fit and finish are quite good with sharp panel alignment and both doors close with a solid feeling indicative of a car that hasn't been wrecked or rusty. The stock hood remains intact including the cool finned inserts that you always secretly hoped were functional somehow. Chevy called the Strato buckets standard but one look at the handsome seats and you'll know it's anything but. With a lot of new equipment you'll be tempted to spend a lot of time in there and the seats are comfortable enough for long hauls. Fresh carpets new door panels and a taut headliner give it a fresh look and feel and a center console is a highly desirable option. This one also carries an optional factory tachometer as well as a set of auxiliary gauges at the leading edge of the console. A Hurst cue ball shifter manages the 4-speed manual gearbox underneath. For modern entertainment there's a digital AM/FM radio that fits neatly in the original slot with no cutting and power steering and brakes are included. There are no surprises awaiting you in the trunk either although there is a new mat that's a correct reproduction of the original. The Chevy small block didn't change much over the years so while this one looks pretty stock it's actually a 383 cubic inch stroker. Noted for torque production and a willingness to rev it's the ultimate street small block and it looks particularly stealthy in this application. There's a Holley 4-barrel up top along with a high-rise aluminum intake MSD ignition and a set of long-tube headers so it definitely packs the right hardware. Chevy Orange paint on the block looks awesome particularly with those wonderful retro-look chrome valve covers and a big Holley air cleaner with reproduction decals on its face. You'll also be pleased to find a 12-bolt rear out back so you don't have to worry about breakage when you mash the throttle. A clean undercarriage suggests a car that's always lived someplace warm and those Rally wheels give it the perfect stance with their staggered BFG radials. This is one of those early Camaros that just looks right sits right and drives right. No issues no asterisks just a clean F-body and a rumbling V8. Why wait call us now! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392.
