Description

We love cars like this 1969 Chevelle. Someone has already invested more than twice the asking price in the construction of this big block bruiser and it's time for our customers to reap the benefits. Heck just the 572 cubic inch engine under the hood retails for 25% of our sticker price for the entire car! With super-clean California sheetmetal and a long list of performance upgrades this is a Chevelle that can show on Saturday night and run 10s on Sunday morning. The body panels on this car are original save for that lightweight fiberglass hood and coming from sunny California you know there's never been any rust. The body tag says it was originally code 55 Azure Turquoise and the finish on it now is pretty close although we would also accept Marina Blue. Whatever you want to call it the paint job is very nice expertly applied over very straight sheetmetal. The gaps are excellent and if you want to show off good panel alignment nothing does it better than that black stripe running the length of the body. If anything was off it would stand out like a broken windshield. New badges were used during the restoration a correct SS rear panel was installed and a matching SS grille gives it a factory-accurate look. The fantastic dark blue bucket seat interior is the ideal complement to the exterior finish. Radically upgraded from the stock turquoise fabric the seats feature new foam and covers front and rear as well as fresh door panels and dash pad. With that much expensive hardware under the hood you'd be crazy to trust the stock idiot lights to keep you informed so Auto Meter gauges were mounted on the cowl where they're easy to see. A B&M shifter controls the race-prepped TH400 underneath complete with trans-brake. Further proof of this car's race track breeding is the switch panel under the dash that controls things like the fuel pump trans brake and electric fan. I don't know if you can call a car like this a sleeper but the 572 cubic inch GM crate motor under the hood is doing its best impression of a garden-variety L35 complete with Chevy Orange paint and a chrome air cleaner with a 396 Turbo Jet decal. Of course the fuel system Edelbrock intake and massive 4-barrel carburetor give it away. Power steering and power disc brakes make it easy to drive despite the race-bred hardware under the hood. The TH400 includes a reverse valve body and a 4500 RPM stall converter and feeds a set of 3.73s in the 12-bolt so this is definitely not your mom's grocery-getter. Brand new Pro Trac tires measuring 215/75/15 in front and 275/60/15 in back have been mounted on classic Weld Pro Star wheels. Look at the hardware and the quality of the build then do the math: you just couldn't duplicate this car for anywhere near the asking price. That's what we call a screaming bargain. Call today!
