#100 – Brigid Schulte’s Love of a Volvo 850 Turbo “Muscle” Wagon

In honor of the 100th episode of The MuscleCar Place podcast show I decided to do a feature interview on a “muscly” 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. Oddly enough, I believe that can hear the collective groan of muscle car readers worldwide as I type this, but I’ll ask that you bear with me a little bit. I came across this car after reading a fantastic article in the Washington Post written by Brigid Schulte that was called “Crash and Yearn.” The article had been forwarded to me by a high school buddy that thought I might enjoy it, and he couldn’t have been more correct.

#98 – Jimi Day and FM3 Marketing

This week’s podcast show guest is Jimi Day, President of FM3 Marketing. In his early 40’s he left his Wall Street career behind to start anew with his real passion; cars. He started first in the world of restoration but now makes his living doing the marking and event promotion of some of the biggest street car events in the world!

#97 – John Sumners and His ’69 Mach 1!

This week’s podcast show guest is John Sumners from Texas. John contacted me recently to tell me he’d been enjoying the show and also to tell me about the dilemma he has had with his ’69 Mach 1. Since buying the car he decided to do a little drag racing with it, and as all racers have found, a little racing leads to a little modifying, and then a little more modifying, and then the next thing you know you end up with a race car wearing license plates!

#96 – Chevelle Build Update from Allison Customs

This week’s podcast show guest is none other than Jeff Allison, the owner of Allison Customs, and the man building my personal ’64 Chevelle. As I first told you in Episode 72 of the podcast show, Jeff reached out to me initially to offer his services – for free – to help me build my dream car. Without going into all of the sorted details , after meeting together in person we decided to make a go of it! Today my Chevelle is in a bazillion pieces in Jeff’s shop in New Mexico, and in the interview Jeff has discussed all of the issues discovered and work done so far.
