This is it; the one where we learn why, when, and how the General Lee came to the Dukes! Even better – we get to see him be built from an old junkyard wreck (which was clearly a former jump car). Ironically, this is the Dukes of Hazzard episode that Finnegan and I to start our own podcast about the Dukes of Hazzard together…so it’s fitting that we decided to end it here. Anyway, here’s the gist of it; this entire episode is a trip down memory lane for the Duke clan as they throw a birthday party for the General Lee. Only the “date of birth” references the day the General himself was created by the Dukes, not the day the Charger rolled off of the Dodge assembly line. It’s set 8 years in the past where Boss Hogg was skinny with hair, Rosco has a Burt Reynolds mustache, Daisy didn’t work at the Boars Nest, and before Bo and Luke knew that cars could safely fly. And there are bad guys in it, one of which has been a different bad guy two different times in the past too. The biggest thing of all though is that prior to the Dukes, the General was just a soulless Charger. It wasn’t until the Dukes found it – and vice versa – that all their lives changed for the better!

At long last, and after multiple thoughtful, then insisting, then kinda nagging, followed by one semi-angry request, we have bowed to the request of the masses and reviewed the 1987 made-for-TV movie “Christmas Comes to Willow Creek.” It’s the best Christmas movie ever featuring Bo and Luke Duke. Only they’re not supposed to be Bo and Luke, even thought they’re played by Tom Wopat and John Schneider. And they’re not named Bo and Luke, but I can’t remember what they are named here – so lets just stick with Bo and Luke. And frankly….it’s not that great of a movie. But hey, it’s Bo and Luke on screen together! Anyway, here’s the summary. Bo and Luke are night and day different and are brothers (not cousins). Bo steals Luke’s girlfriend, marries her, gets her pregnant, then wants nothing to do with fatherhood or being an adult. Luke is an adult and responsible for everything in the universe and everyone in it. And they both work at the same place for the same guy driving semi trucks. Their boss is guy is played by a country music singer, but his character needs to send a truckload of presents to his broke home-town in Alaska that desperately needs something to go right, just in time for Christmas. Bo’s baby is born along the way, delivered by a mysterious shepherd in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. The shepherd turns out to be an angel. It all works out in the end and Bo starts a chili company. The end.

#94 Finnegan’s Leaving: Now The Full Secret of Corndog’s True Identity – Revealed!

Yes, it’s true. Mike is leaving as full time show co-host at the end of the year. We’ll miss him too, but if you would like a Kibbe and Finnegan shirt or hoodie you still have time to make it happen! With Finnegan leaving as full time co-host this seemed like the perfect time to reveal the behind the scenes reality of just how Corndog is Corndog. More to the point, if he’s not a stalker or a time traveller, how is it that he seems to to know everything there is to know about the Dukes of Hazzard, MOPAR, Chargers specifically, and where the original 17-TV cars (an 15+ movie cars) all are? And did Mark Worman of Graveyard Carz really offer him a job? And does he even like eating corndogs? And how does he do this all from an unassuming body shop in Mississippi? Listen and learn.

#93 Big 2019 Show Change Coming – And The Dukes Review: Cletus Falls In Love: S4 Episode 12 of the Dukes of Hazzard

It’s Christmas, and if you aren’t wearing MicroModal fabric next to your most of delicate nether region, you’re robbing yourself. If your downstairs could file a formal complaint, it would. BUT, fear not for we bring you tidings of great joy – and it shall come in fun undies with Christmas prints too! Just head to MeUndies.com/kafs and pick out a holiday treat for yourself early! This is the episode of the Dukes that is not famous for anything. Daisy whispers sweet nothings into Cletus’ ear to get Bo and Luke out of a ticket, leading him to think that she both loves him and wants to marry him. She wants none of that. Then Sheriff Little shows up and tries to kill Bo & Luke. Later a guy throws some pies. Then Bo and Luke go to jail for passing a bad check which of course was a forged check by Boss Hogg. By the end of the show everything is fine again. Fin.

Did you catch the November edition of our Patreon show? That’s where we reveal everything…and that’s the one where Mike announced he was leaving the show. Boo! This offer is for new AND returning customers and is only available for the holidays!

This is the episode you’ve been waiting for depending upon how much you love the General Lee…or how much you love illegal acts of hypnosis. This is the classic tale of how Boss Hogg had Luke hypnotized into getting rid of the General Lee so that Boss could KILL the car and be fat, rich, and happy the rest of his days. The General was sold to a drunken used car dealer, then nearly pushed off a cliff AND blown up, both of which were thwarted by an (almost divinely inspired) act of good timing and dose of mass bravery by people that loved the General more than life itself. Wrongs were righted though, and then the Dukes jumped the General Lee over Rosco and saved Luke’s soul in the process. Hell yes. 10-Corndogs!

Still reading, still love Dukes trivia, and still feel like spending money on the people you love most? Or, maybe us? Terrific! Sign up now to be a monthly sponsor of the show on Patreon! We put out a special episode of the show each month just to Patreon members – plus dish out all the stuff that can’t go out on the airwaves. Big changes are coming in 2019.
