Happy (post) Labor Day! We are out this week so we’re doing what all of the big name players in radio, TV, news, fake news, late night comedy, and others have done for years; we’re playing a re-run of a super popular episode! I know – it’s big time. Enjoy this repeat from Episode 77 where Corndog led the epic OCD-fest discussion on all of the filming locations used in the run of the Dukes of Hazzard TV series. Remember, the town of Hazzard for the bulk of the run was on the Warner Bros backlot, but the country scenes, Boars Nest, Duke Farm, and pretty much everything else were filmed out on the worlds snakiest California-based-Georgia roads that Hollywood could offer. As you’ll learn, the were multiple moves of the show throughout the series which explains why the show had a different look as things went on.

We are all in on Patreon! Our Patreon supporters actually “sponsored” this episode, in fact. Today the winner of the “Kibbe Lee” CB will be announced too! As announced previously, not only is a monthly prize giveaway now part of what we do for all Patrons – but we’re also now doing a Paatreon only “second hour” of select shows for them as well. Movie Review: You knew it would happen some time:

“Shake and bake!”

“If you ain’t first, you’re last!”

“I am a semi professional race car driver and am amateur tattooo artist.”

“Don’t snort those Lucky Charms.”

If there is one racing movie that is as often (or perhaps more) quoted than Days of Thunder, it’s Talladega Nights! Listen in or our full review of perhaps the dumbest, most magical, most wonderful racing movie ever made that was pitched to – and purchased by – a major motion picture studio with nothing other than the following words: “Will Ferrell as a NASCAR Driver.”

This is it! After waiting years to prepare we finally did a full review of the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie. This was a $50Million dollar big screen production of our favorite TV show, featuring our favorite car doing the best big screen performance any car has ever performed, ever (we’re looking your way, Bullitt). Other than the car…..this isn’t the TV series Dukes that you know. Boss Hogg (played by Burt Reynolds) is skinny. Rosco is mean, not goofy. Bo is scared of women. Luke can’t drive. Uncle Jesse is crass. But….if you can get past all of that and leave it for what it is, we loved it. Our man Corndog was onsite for the entire filming of the movie in Louisiana and had the full skinny on every car there that played the General Lee (all 27 of them).

K&F Show #116: #KibbeLee Goes to the Autocross – Dukes Review: S4E19 “Nothin’ But the Truth “

<Dukes Review: This episode is the tested and proven example of what you should never look before you leap, but you should absolutely look before you sit on an unprotected syringe filled with sodium pentathol, better known as "Truth Serum." Actually, you should also just never sit on an unprotected syringe ever. Only bad things happen. Anyway, Boss Hogg gets an accidental dose of truth serum and nearly gets himself killed by uncontrollably confessing the truth to anyone who will listen. The Dukes save his life by having Tom Wopat take pictures of Catherine Bach whilst spread out on the General Lee in a fantastic return of her red bikini from Episode 1.

K&F Show #115: The Most Patriotic KF Ever; Dukes Review: S4E18 “Miz Tisdale on the Lam”

This show is presented by our Patreon audience – which we would REALLY like to ask all who are listeners to join in on. The future of Kibbe and Friends really is likely built around Patreon. Last month we gave a way a set of upper control arms to our Patreon group just for fun.  This month the big prize was an outdoor backpack (winner has been announced). Going forward, we know this is where we need to spend more time – so look for even MORE Patreon content coming in the future. <Dukes Review: Here's the good news: this episode featured Miz Tissdale, the coolest 4-foot-10 actress ever on the Dukes. Here's the bad news: that was the only good news. This episode is a good example of why Tom Wopat and John Schneider were ready to walk out for better scripts. Anyway, here's the plot: Boss Hogg commits mail fraud, almost gets caught, frames Miz Tissdale (who is the Hazzard Postmistress version of Cliff Clavin), Bo and Luke get blamed too, and all the jumps are recycled. The music is pretty funny though, and Miz Tissdale is the greatest. The show is a 6, but she makes it a 9 solid Corndogs. Enjoy!

K&F Show #114: The Best of Finnegan’s Game Show’s; J.E.M. F/X Owner Elia Popov on Building the Dukes of Hazzard Movie General Lee’s!

Laugh Factory: Finnegan’s Best Game Shows. Rob is (mostly) out this week, so we brought back Finnegan for some fun game shows to keep you entertained! Well….actually, this a little bit of the greatest hits from some of our previous game shows…..and if you’re not in a good mood by the end of these you probably need to seek counseling.

<Feature Interview: Elia Popov from J.E.M. F/X. This is a full interview done with Elia Popov, the man at the helm of JEM F/X – which is the company that built all of the movie General Lee's and coordinated it all to do their amazing stunts.  This interview was conducted in full during the 2014 SEMA Show and was initially released on The MuscleCar Place Episode 231. For those of you that loved the movie, you'll love this. For those of you that loved the car most (like us), you'll REALLY LOVE it!

Patreon Peeps, the June show is next week! Send in your questions and we’ll get them all loaded up and ready for funsville.
