Pop Culture: Chuck Yeager has died. Listen in for a tribute to a pilot from another era that loved duty above all else. An A-1, all American, total bad ass!

Dukes Review: This episode is AWESOME! It has everything: Duke genealogy, aerial stunts, maps of Hazzard, a strange bad guy (lady) that is rich, successful, driven, and so cool she has a huge gap in her front teeth. The plot revolves are strip mining Hazzard for coal deposits and a helicopter fighting the General Lee! It’s great, so great in fact that when they wrote the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie they just took the plot from this episode and added a race to it. Really. It’s awesome. 10 Corndogs.

Pop Culture: Darth Vader has died! Well, David Prowse did…and he was the 6’7″ bodybuilder who was the man behind the suit.

Dukes Rview: Finally, proof that Bo and Luke are so much better. At everything. This is the episode where Bo and Luke decide to become “Big Brothers” to a troubled youth in need. Then the “youth” (who was played by an actor four years older than John Scnheider) steals the General Lee, finds some stolen money, and Boss Hogg keeps him from getting murdered (really). Bo hoots at women, Luke is snarky, the stunts are fantastic, Al Wyatt wags the tail of the General, Coy and Vance are no more, and all is right with the world. 8 Corndogs.

Patreon Peeps, KF Patreon Peeps, the November show is out and the giveaway is ready for entry! Special thanks to Chris Ray for supplying the awesome vintage Dukes watch and Mopar Collectors Guide. Visit www.patreon.com/kfshow to enter to win!

Fun-Fun: This is our final non Patreon episode before Thanksgiving…..so we did what had to be done: the best of the best from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

Dukes Review: As they said in Jurassic Park, Life Finds a Way. The universe has righted itself. The legal process of suing people until they sue you back for more, has worked. Bo and Luke are back in the General Lee and Coy and Vance have rode off into the sunset, never to be mentioned again. John Schneider and Tom Wopat may go down in history as the actors that set the precedent that would be used in film and TV forever going forward: bringing back a gone but beloved character. Remember Bobby Ewing on Dallas, or Han in the Fast and Furious? Ding ding ding! Also in this episode,  the Chevelle Cooter from Season 3 is back, but now it’s silver. And it has thermoquad carbs on it. 10 Corndogs!

Fun: Alex Trebek passed away last weekend and Sean Connery passed the week before. So….we did what needed to be done most, an SNL Celebrity Jeopardy throw-down!

Dukes Review: The last Coy and Vance episode is finally here. Oh, how I have waited for this day! Now, this isn’t a bad episode. In fact this episode has a number of themes that really set the stage for what the Dukes is all about. Self reliance, chivalry, open prayer, putting others needs ahead of your own, and jumping cars. And while I didn’t love Coy and Vance, I did like Byron Cherry and Chris Mayer. They were nice guys in an impossible situation. A situation that is about to end! (Vance never should have said the General was theirs. I never forgave him for that one.)

K&F Show #168: Recap of the Election that Just Won’t End; Dukes of Hazzard S5E17 Review “Comrade Duke””

Fun: This episode features a recap of the Presidential election that just won’t end. By the time you hear this, maybe it will have been called….or maybe it will be in the courts. Who knows. We can still make fun of it though!

Dukes Review: Finally! A Dukes episode involving airplanes and communism. It that’s not a great example of 80’s TV, what is? The flying parts are good. Coy does a backflip. The General has electrical tape on the vent windows. Horrible Russian accents abound. Waylon Jennings says “commies” a lot. Only one more Coy and Vance episode to go! 5 Corndogs.

K&F Show #167: Presidential Election Special; Dukes of Hazzard S5E16 Review “Coy vs Vance”

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Visit holley.com and buy yourself a little something early for Christmas!

Fun: This episode features everything you need to know about the upcoming Presidential election. More accurately, who is running…and who isn’t. Do your duty, go out and vote, and don’t be fooled by some of the trick names we threw your way!

Functional: Tune in for a full 13 minute in person interview with Clay Millican at a recent NHRA event. 322MPH in under 3.5 seconds is a good thing.

Dukes Review: Amanda Horan Kennedy was the bad guy chick from the last episode. And she was something. And this episode has TWO bad guy chicks. That’s good. But more impressive than any of that – is that this episode contains 5 – count em – 5 brand new story specific General Lee jumps and epic 1 police car jump, into a pond, onto a pontoon boat, abandoned by a jumping stunt guy. Amen.

K&F Show #166: Bernie, Corndog, and The Blues Brothers with Finnegan!

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Congrats to Arrow West @eldest_arrow on Instagram for his recent LS swap into a ’83 Cutlass! His father Philip West @flannel_philip posted the details on Instagram, and we’re honored that they selected a Holley Terminator X system after hearing it described in our show. Way to go boys!

Note: This is a “movie review re-run”  from our classic Kibbe and Finnegan Show Archive – Episode 62. This K&F show features a plethora of both witty and banter, as well as both kinds of country music: country and western. Why, you ask? Because we reviewed the Blue Brothers instead of the Dukes this week. Luckily for us all, it still resulted in slap stick humor and flying Mopars with cop shocks, cop tires, and a 440 mill built before catalytic converters. Everything you need is in this movie: amazing blues music, zany 110 mph car chases, and sentences that always end in a one liner: 3 orange whips! Carrie Fischer is in this one too – and Jabba the Hut’s outfit had nothing on how she looks in this movie.

K&F Show #165: How Paint Scanning a General Lee REALLY Works; Dukes of Hazzard S5E15 Review “Ding, Dong, The Boss is Dead”

Dukes Review – S5E15: This episode is a clinic in what goes around, comes around. The entire show is a cartoonish version of basically the same episode from Season 2, but this time with flying coffins.  Boss still has to leap moving vehicles to convince people he’s dead. Not one, but two actors from previous episodes come back to play different characters, and the outfit the bad guy (girl) is wearing….is both sensational as well as now back in fashion (high waisted shorts with a belt.) Surprised her outfit actually stayed on, actually. Anyway, this is a repeat of a season 2 episode plot, a season 2 bad guy car, with a repeat of a season 3 set of characters, with a season 4 bad guy car. And the GL jumps a barn. It may be the best Coy and Vance episode ever.

K&F Show #164: MOPARTY Recap; Dukes of Hazzard S5E14 Review “Return of the Mean Green Machine”

Holley is the official EFI source for Kibbe and Friends and is the PROUD sponsor of this episode! Listen in for a full recap of the event including ALL of the details on Jamie Smith’s 2-wheels stunt and ramp-to-ramp jump. We’ll also have a number of interviews to bring you from Dylan McCool, Tim Wellborn, and more over on The MuscleCar Place. Here’s what you ned to know most: Gen III Hemi Swaps are THE cool thing to do! Thank you Holley!

The Mean Green Machine from Season 5 Episode 1 returns, which is a rare instance of a story arc on the Dukes. This episode….has legit – nay – GREAT – stunts in the form of two totally awesome stunts over moving vehicles. There is a reference of radio stations – which Bernie should like. There is a comically sized magnet involved that looks like something Wile E. Coyote would use. At long last, Boss Hogg finally uses a bazooka. The first time Vance Duke sees the Mean Green Machine he shoots dynamite at it. And the acting in this…..is not terrible. In fact, it’s tolerable. Cartoonishly charming, even. Chris Mayer and Byron Cherry are kind of getting into the swing of things. But, in just three episodes, they’ll be homeless and will never be mentioned again.
